What I Wish I Knew When I Started My Business

This year marks the fifth year I’ve been in business working with clients from all around the world in branding and web design projects. While it’s easy to write and even easier to say, it has been a journey filled with ups and downs since I started my business. It seems it’s the perfect time to write this post since it’s always nice to take a moment to look back and realize how far you’ve come and also to make a mental note that you can always keep learning.

It was five years ago that I decided to make a career change and pursue my passion for graphic design. Needless to say, there were so many details about starting my small design studio that I didn’t have clue about.

Most business owners probably feel that way at some point, so today’s post is dedicated to every creative out there who might need words of encouragement in their entrepreneurial journey.

Here are 5 things I wish I knew when I started my business:

1. Learn as much as you can and then keep learning

Preparing to start your own business means spending hours learning everything there is to know about it. But even after you’ve been in business for years, you should always be willing to learn something new.

Don’t forget to set aside time to enroll in courses, masterminds, and getting involved with others in your industry.

2. Don’t be scared to change things around
